amputee parry makes historic return a hollywood (almost) ending for a player who broke his leg in a football game, then had it amputated, now he has returned as a special teams player on D1 squad. not to shabby. via espn.com Whiskey Bar: Playing With Matches i have read this in a couple different places. START GUARDIAN "Saudi Arabia, in response to the current upheaval in the Middle East, has embarked on a strategic review that includes acquiring nuclear weapons, the Guardian has learned. " END GUARDIAN basically, this is what we reap when we sow this violent policy. thanks to billmon Thursday, September 18, 2003
giant rodent astonishes science the reeds and shuffled along the delta. the salty wind made my eyes water. a stick breaks under my foot, all is silent. a super croc slipped into the river...what spooked the monster, I wondered. birds made their warning cries and flew off. the smell of fear engulfed the marsh. a deafning "weeeeee....weeeeee", shrieked through the reeds. straight talkin' bush i was having an argument with the president/ceo of our homeland security firm (gee i it make sound like were huge) over dinner the other night. we were discussing all sorts of current politics (he says he's an equal opportunity employer and i'm his "token democrat"). when mr. pres/ceo made the comment: "at least we know what is coming out this president (as in POTUS) is the truth." i was flabber-gasted, i didn't even want to respond. i muttered something about "finding a lot of wmd's", and moved on. anybody who says that bush has put "integrity back in the white house" is on crack. this administration has done nothing but lie. bad lies, mean lies, damn lies. they stretch the truth, when the truth doesn't fit, throw it out. they speak the truth, but leave out whole parts of the story (momma called that a lie, anyways). the link in the title is via calpundit which i was linked to by atrios for an email of the daily lies popping out the white house got to misleader.org and that ain't no lie |
